Teleprompter app compatible with MDM software
We have 2 apps available for download from the Apple App Store:
Teleprompter for Video is our app aimed at consumers.
It is quick and easy to download for free, and you can choose whether to buy an in-app purchase later.
Teleprompter for Business is aimed at businesses who purchase and manage apps on behalf of their staff using Apple Business Manager or Apple School Manager.
Both apps have the same functionality, but there are some advantages to businesses and schools in using the Teleprompter for Business version:
The Business app is a direct purchase. This is because in-app purchases are not compatible with the Apple Business or School Manager offerings.
The Business app is available on the Volume Purchase Program for Education
Businesses and schools that manage their devices using Mobile Device Management (MDM) software can configure privacy settings (see below).
Everything else is the same. So although the number of reviews is less for the Business App, you can have confidence in what you are buying.
Using Mobile Device Management (MDM) to configure privacy settings of business video app
Using managed configurations, an IT administrator can remotely specify settings for users of the Teleprompter for Business mobile app in their organization.
App Configuration Parameters
You can configure the following three parameters for the app:
- skipLogin
- disableAI
- disableCloudVideoProcessing
Each setting accepts a 1 or 0 value.
skipLogin
This setting controls whether users see the login page when they open the app.
- 1: Users will skip the login page and use the app in offline mode. In this mode, scripts are not shared with our servers, and all data remains on the device. This is especially useful for organisations that handle sensitive information.
- 0 (or not set): Users will see the login page and can choose to sign in.
Why allow login? When users sign in, they can sync scripts across multiple devices. For example, they can write a script on an iPad and record the video later on an iPhone.
disableAI
This setting controls whether users can access AI-powered script writing and editing features.
- 1: AI script writing and editing features are disabled.
- 0 (or not set): AI script-writing and editing features are not available. Data may be sent to third parties in accordance with our privacy policy.
disableCloudVideoProcessing
This setting controls whether users can send recorded videos to the cloud for server-based processing, such as AI-powered eye contact enhancement.
- 1: Cloud video processing is disabled. Users will not be able to use any server-based video processing features.
- 0 (or not set): Cloud video processing features remain available and data may be sent to third parties in accordance with our privacy policy.
